After learning of the district’s participation in the Bringing Music to Life program – which encourages the donation of performance instruments to ensure that the love of music-making continues in schools – Mr. DeNiro and his wife Dr. Dorothy DeNiro, eagerly turned over 100 instruments, all in hard-shell cases, to Cindy Smith, the district’s Fine Arts Specialist.
In 1999, Principal Brunjak landed at the school that would become her cherished home for the remainder of her career. After two years as a South Park Special Education teacher, Principal Brunjak taught Kindergarten for 16 years. Having earned an advanced degree and a Principal’s license, she began to set her sights beyond the classroom. “I thought that with my experience and knowledge, I would be good at administration."
Middle School In-Person Students to Attend 4 Days A Week; High School In-Person Students to Continue on Hybrid Schedule
With a relaxation of social distancing guidelines by state and national health officials, Pueblo School District 60 Middle School in-person students will transition from the hybrid model to attending 4 days a week in person beginning Monday, April 19.
