There is now officially a link for monetary donations for the library here at South HS. We are working to build the library collection back up to a state where it can be utilized by the students to not only have resources for their classes, but to also be able to just take a moment to breathe and sit down with a good book. SCHOOL CHOICE WINDOW NOW OPEN
Through the Public Schools of Choice Law passed in the early 1990s, families have the right to enroll their children in any school, for any reason. If there is room in a preferred Pueblo School District 60 school, and transportation is not an issue, students are welcome: regardless of residency and other factors. In the fall, the District will welcome new buildings for Centennial and East high schools, Sunset Park Elementary and Franklin School of Innovation, and a brand-new institution: Nettie S. Freed K-8 Expeditionary. The School Choice “lottery window” is now open, giving D60 parents the best chance of winning a seat for their child or children in the school of choice.
