    Attention boys and girls basketball players, wrestlers and girl swimmers - winter registration for athletics has begun. Athletes must be registered and the $80.00 registration fee must be paid prior to the first official day of practice, which is Monday, November 18th. If you have participated in a fall sport during this school year, you will need to log into your account and register for the winter sport you will be playing.     Donate Your Gently Worn Prom/Homecoming Dresses, Dress Pants or Ties Today!

    If you have any gently worn Prom or Homecoming dresses you no longer need, or some gently worn dress pants, dress shirts, or ties, PLEASE consider donating any of these items to  Colt Nation Students.  All donations can be dropped off at the Main Office or the Counseling Office.     The South HS Cross Country Team is Still Accepting Athletes! Join TODAY!

    IT IS NOT TOO LATE!!   Cross country is still accepting athletes! Did you miss tryouts for other sports or did you get cut? Do you still want to get involved at South High? It is not too late to join Cross Country! We are still accepting athletes! All ability levels are welcome and we do not have cuts. Take a risk and try something new!   • Introducing the Colts' Closet

    Attention Parents and Guardians: The Colts Closet is now open. Please open the full announcement to access the Colts Closet Request Form. This form is also located in all grade level Google Classrooms as well as many other individual classrooms that your student has access to. Students can click on the link and request needed school supplies, food items, and hygiene products. The request will go directly to the community advocate who will fill the order and then students can pick up the items in the main office. Please call 719.549.7255 for more information.

    The South High School Library Needs Your Help

    There is now officially a link for monetary donations for the library here at South HS. We are working to build the library collection back up to a state where it can be utilized by the students to not only have resources for their classes, but to also be able to just take a moment to breathe and sit down with a good book. Anyone can donate! All of the funds will go straight to the library here at our school for ordering books and other supplies. Please open the full announcement to access the link.

    In June, Governor Jared Polis signed the Clean Water in Schools and Child Care Centers law, which requires all public schools to sample their drinking water for lead and take mitigative action when results show levels of lead at or above 4.5 parts per billion.
