Executive Director of Continuous Improvement and Innovation

Job description snapshot:

• Supervises the seven schools in our Innovation Zone (Bessemer, Franklin, Irving, Minnequa, PAA, Risley, Roncalli)
• Oversees training, contracting and grant reporting for these schools
• Responsible for resource adoptions, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Provides oversight and guides curriculum adoptions
• Responsible for and provides oversight on any applicable grants and funding
• Building liaison for student, patron, and parent complaints
• Data analysis and steering for school performance
• Monitors curriculum alignment
• Facilitates principal and assistant principal trainings

Summary of Functions:

The Executive Director of Continuous Improvement and Innovation coordinates the efforts of the District and schools to address the requirements of continuous improvement and CDE requirements of accountability. The Executive Director assists in the planning, design, and implementation of District Innovation Zone Plan and supervises the innovation schools to ensure school improvement efforts are effectively managed. The Executive Director coordinates partnerships with external organizations in support of school improvement efforts and is the manager for school improvement grants.
