BACA ROADRUNNERS CELEBRATE WITH FANCY MOVES AND HEALTHY SNACKS

A student wearing a spiderman shirt dances in the school gymNow that CMAS testing is over, the Roadrunners of Eva R. Baca Elementary School who gave 100 percent effort during testing -- and who properly used their scratch paper -- were rewarded with a dance in the school gymnasium.

"We set high expectations during CMAS and want students to do their best, so if they showed their best effort, we rewarded them with the celebration at the end," said Principal Julie Griego.

With music provided by DJ Jose Ortega, the Roadrunners displayed some fancy moves, much to the delight of the Baca staff who served as "chaperones."

Prior to the dance, the Roadrunners enjoyed a Farmers Market provided by Southwest Foodservice Excellence-D60 Foodworks. The children enjoyed healthy snacks and learned about the nutrients provided by vegetables.
