SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT PROFILE Isaiah Ortiz, Centennial High School

Isaiah Ortiz sets on a wooden deck wearing his red letter jacketIsaiah received a Chancellor’s Scholarship (renewable up to four years) to the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and a 2024 Colorado Council on High School/College Relations Community Service Scholarship, as well as offers to attend the University of Colorado Denver (Chancellor’s Scholarship) and Colorado State University Pueblo (Emerging Scholar).

Isaiah, who graduated with a 4.1 GPA, was an active Bulldog.

As a senior, he served as Student Body President, capping four years of involvement in Student Council. He was part of the Bulldog TV Audio/Video Production team for four years, serving as Chief Operations Officer as a senior.

The 2023 Centennial Homecoming King, Isaiah was a three-year member of the varsity tennis team, placing fourth in regionals as a senior. He twice qualified for the state FBLA competition, placing third in Digital Video Production as a junior and fourth in Public Service Announcement as a senior.

Isaiah will attend the University of Colorado Colorado Springs to major in political science on the school’s pre-law track program.

His career goals are to practice law and possibly enter the world of politics.
