More than 250 of the District's highest-achieving seniors got an early start to Wednesday by preparing for tonight's Academic Excellence Ceremony.
A longtime District tradition, this showcase spotlights those hard-working scholars who have achieved a GPA of at least 3.4 and singles out four seniors who best represent the pillars -- Academic Achievement, Leadership, Character, and Service -- that make up the Lamp of Knowledge.
That Lamp of Knowledge will be awarded to a high school whose collective achievements merit it.
The ceremony will feature scholars from Centennial High School, Pueblo Central High, Pueblo East "Eagle Empire", Pueblo South High School and Dutch Clark Digital.
The ceremony at the Southwest Motors Events Center begins at 6 p.m. It will be livestreamed on this page.
