Kenzi’s Causes is a non-profit organization that supports underprivileged children and their families throughout the state by providing them with the tools and resources needed to live an overall more well-rounded life.Kenzi's Causes was launched by Jessica Bachus after her daughter, Kenzi, was stillborn at 24 weeks. Overcome with grief, Jessica felt compelled to channel her emotions into something that would honor Kenzi’s memory.
One of the organization's key projects is a Christmas giveaway.
Although Kenzi's Causes has had a presence in Pueblo for years, this year, the District donated use of its Arapahoe Room in the Administration Building for the toy and gift distribution.
Throughout Saturday morning, volunteers handed out an array of gifts to a steady flow of beneficiaries, all greeted at the door by Jessica.
To support the endeavor, one generous Pueblo community member provided 400 items for distribution to those in need.
