Through a partnership with Centennial graduate and Perfect World studio owner Carl Lucero, District high school scholars receive the opportunity to gain valuable insight into the world of professional audio recording and performance.

Part of the District’s Career and Technical Education curriculum, the Perfect World Music Academy encompasses audio technology, music production, songwriting and “band camp.”

As part of the “band camp,” participants wrote and recorded three original songs: “Drive,” “Boom, Boom, Boom.” and “Déjà Vu.” Those songs will be performed Thursday as part of the Dutch Clark Digital at Paragon commencement ceremony.

As a special treat, Dutch Clark Digital Principal Rich Mestas will play bass on a fourth song, a cover of the U2 classic “New Year’s Day.”
