HURLIMAN SCHOLAR PROFILE: HAYDEN "BECK" HALL

 HAYDEN "BECK" HALLHayden, a South Colt, received a one-year endowment up to $15,000.

A four-year member of the Vocal Music Program, serving as Student President for a year, Hayden participated in this year's collaborative musical with Centennial.

Hayden played soccer for four years, two as team captain, and also ran Track and Cross Country for a year.

As a senior, he served as Senior Class President, capping four years of involvement in Student Council. He is a two-year member of National Honor Society and is a recipient of the Masonic Outstanding Junior Award.

In the National History Day competition, Hayden placed first locally and in the Top 8 of the State.

"My educators taught me how to connect with the world around me and empathize with my peers," Hayden said. "They have encouraged me to follow my dreams and work extremely hard.

"I believe my academic accomplishments and extracurricular activities led to my selection as a Hurliman Scholar."

At Rice University, Hayden plans to study Political Science or Economics.
