A MESSAGE TO OUR PRINCIPALS FROM SUPERINTENDENT KIMZEY

National Principals Month GraphicAs I shared this summer when we first met, each of you brings unique talents that only you can bring to our students, families, staff, schools, and district.

Your work often goes unacknowledged and can be personally and physically draining. You are like the captain of a ship out to sea -- responsible for every student and every adult in your care each day.

You must make split-second decisions without warning that will forever impact your students, staff, schools, and our district, and you do so with a level head, always remembering to keep students' well-being and quality education at the center of each of those decisions.

In your role, you adapt continually to the variety of circumstances and situations with which you are faced each day to support your students and school community.

Not only do you adapt, you relish the challenges that arise each day with your positive, "can-do" spirit. You have unwavering belief in our students that infuses your work and spreads like a contagion throughout your school community. You, with your unique talents and perspective, impact our community more than you will ever know.

With a heart full of gratitude, I am writing to wish each of you happy National Principals Month.

Your work, informed by your unique talents and perspective, matters. And together, with our united purpose, what we can accomplish is only limited by our vision.
