SPREADING KINDNESS, ONE BULLPUP AT A TIME

An East student helps a younger student pick out a coloring pencil Today is World Kindness Day, and since it's a great thing to be kind every day, the Bullpups of Irving Elementary took part in a host of activities designed to reinforce that point.

Under the direction of Miranda Genova, and with the assistance of Student Council leaders from East and other high school volunteers, the Bullpups were encouraged to express sentiments of kindness through rock painting, contributing to a kindness quilt, taking part in a scavenger hunt, and creating "leaves" for placement on a large "Kindness Tree" outside the media center.

World Kindness Day was introduced in 1998.
