This week, nine members of the Community Transition House program were rewarded for their academic dedication with a high school diploma, presented during a ceremony at the Lamb Branch Public Library.
The Community Transition House is a program that teaches independent living skills to students 21 and older in order to prepare them for adulthood. The skills pertain to leisure, recreation, home maintenance, personal care and community participation, with an opportunity to continue their education under certified teachers.
