CORWIN FIFTH GRADERS TAKE PART IN EXHIBIT

Two young students wearing school uniforms stand in front of their project boardWithin the International Baccalaureate's Primary Years Programme (grades K-5), The Exhibition is the culminating project: a student-guided experience that allows scholars to investigate an issue of personal significance and seek opportunities for action.

This year, Corwin International Magnet School fifth graders addressed such issues as animal welfare, elephant extinction, child neglect, meeting the needs of seniors, homelessness, deforestation, pollution, mental health equality, poverty awareness, gang prevention and health/fitness.

For those visiting the Exhibition, including D60 Board of Education members Dennis Maes and Bill Thiebaut, the young presenters eagerly explained their particular issue while offering potential solutions.
