SALUTING OUR SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKERS

Social Work Week GraphicMarch 3-9 has been designated as School Social Work Week, a time to reflect on the work of our school social workers, who are often called upon to help students, families, and teachers address difficult problems such as truancy, social withdrawal, overaggressive behaviors, rebelliousness, and the effects of special physical, emotional, or economic problems.

The work of our social workers is critical to the overall well being of our children, and in turn, school personnel. The task is rarely without challenges but our social workers handle each case with professionalism and compassion.
