The latest chapter in the mission to inspire young women and men to lead lives of purpose and impact opened today with the first day of classes of the 2022-23 school year.
THE DISTRICT IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS!

To celebrate this momentous occasion, Superintendent Charlotte Macaluso, Assistant Superintendent Suzanne Morey and other members of the Superintendent’s Leadership Team visited with scholars and educators, offering words of encouragement and inspiration in classrooms and hallways.
Superintendent Macaluso has selected “Building a Bridge to Brighter Days” as the theme of the school year. As the great Nelson Mandela once said, “The time for healing of the wounds has come. The moment to bridge the chasms that divide us has come. The time to build is upon us.”
Following two years of uncertainty related to the pandemic, the District is beginning the year with a renewed sense of hope and optimism as our leaders, educators and staff work to build bridges over any valleys that prohibit entry to the road of success and achievement that every one of our scholars is entitled to.
It’s going to be a year filled with achievements and accomplishments, and for those of you follow the D60 Facebook and Instagram accounts, every step of the way will be chronicled in photos and word.
