MOSS SOLAR LETS THE LIGHT SHINE AT PARK VIEW
Florida-based Moss Solar, in the process of building two large-scale projects in Pueblo County, has taken a shine to Principal Floyd Gallegos and Park View Elementary.
Honoring a partnership that began several years ago, the staff, vendors and subcontractors associated with Moss Solar donated gifts and essential items valued at $4,000 to the school.
The treasure includes four new bicycles, gift cards, school supplies, camera film, clothing, physical education equipment, white boards, electronics and more.
Those Cubs who boast perfect attendance at the end of the year will be eligible to win the bikes, with the other items to be distributed based on student need.
On Wednesday, Principal Gallegos welcomed Dylan Siegel, a project manager with Moss Solar, and employees of the company as the donated cache was revealed to an elated Cub student body.
“We wanted to partner with a local school that could use some help,” Mr. Seigel said. “And we are super excited to once again partner with Park View.”
Mr. Siegel reinforced the importance of regular school attendance and also pointed out the benefits of renewable energy.
In appreciation for the act of good-heartedness, the Cubs rewarded the Moss Solar collective with boisterous cheers, hand-made “thank you” notes and blue school shirts.
To date, Moss Solar has donated $9,000 worth of items to Park View.
