DISTRICT LEADERS RECOGNIZED BY GREATER PUEBLO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
During Thursday's Business During Lunch hosted by the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce, Superintendent Charlotte Macaluso, Board of Education President Tommy Farrell and Board Member Barb Clementi, and the D60 Communications Team were recognized by Chamber President Duane Nava before those gathered in the Pueblo Convention Center.
Mr. Nava, a D60 alumnus, lauded Superintendent Macaluso for being named Superintendent of the Year by the Colorado Association of Latino/a Administrators and Superintendents. He then introduced Director of Communications Dalton Sprouse, who touted the District's ongoing achievements and accomplishments as highlighted in a video production created by Donny Ruybal, the District's Supervisor of Digital Communications.
The video encapsulates the many successes the District has achieved through its five-year Strategic Plan, which is to be extended for three years with input and feedback from stakeholder groups.
Director Sprouse also touted the District's thriving Career and Technical Education offerings, noting that Chris Madrill, the District's Career and Technical Education and Concurrent Enrollment Manager, was available to answer any questions about the programs.
The gallery was invited to attend the ribbon cutting of the new East High School on Monday and to keep abreast of the great things taking place in the District by following its Facebook and Instagram pages.
On a related note, today, May 12, is National School Communicators Day, a fitting time for the members of the D60 Communications Team to express gratitude to the school and Pueblo community for allowing us to continue this important work of bringing to light the numerous achievements and successes of our scholars, educators and District.
