SCHOOL CHOICE WINDOW NOW OPEN
Are you interested in finding the right school for your student? If so, now is the time! We are pleased to share that D60 families can now submit a School Choice application for the 2023-2024 school year. This allows families to identify up to three possible enrollment choices for their students for the upcoming school year.
While school choice applications are accepted until before school starts in August, applications received between January 16 and February 13 (the "Lottery Window") gives parents their best chance to enroll their child at a preferred D60 school.
To help you navigate the School Choice process, here are some useful tips:
The School Choice application can be accessed at: https://www.pueblod60.org/schoolchoice
School Choice is for students who will be entering grades K through 12.
If you are interested in applying for Preschool, please visit the Colorado Universal Preschool website: upk.Colorado.gov
The School Choice lottery is not a first-come-first-served process. Submitting your application earlier does not affect the outcome in the lottery, as long as it is submitted on or before February 16, 2023.
While we do our best for each applicant, a School Choice does not guarantee enrollment in a preferred school. Most schools have a limited number of seats available for new students.
Parents will be responsible for providing transportation for their children if they choose to enroll them in a school outside their attendance area.
If you submit an application for School Choice during the lottery period, you will be contacted with the results on or before March 3. You will be contacted through your parent portal and using the email address or phone number you provided in your application.
Students who do not win a seat at a preferred school during the lottery period will be placed on waitlists for all of the preferred schools selected.
If you have any questions about the School Choice process, please contact the School Choice team at 719-253-6014 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
