Sol Sandoval Tafoya, chosen by the D60 Board of Education on Tuesday to fill the seat vacated by Margaret Wright, was officially sworn into office on Wednesday.
Sol Sandoval Tafoya, chosen by the D60 Board of Education on Tuesday to fill the seat vacated by Margaret Wright, was officially sworn into office on Wednesday.Ms. Sandoval Tafoya is New American Majority Rural Program Manager for Emerge Colorado. She previously was a supervisor for the Pueblo County Department of Social Services. She has two children in D60 schools.
A reception was held in honor of the newest D60 Board member, who will serve until the November 2023 election.
Family, friends and supporters were on hand to congratulate Board Member Sandoval Tafoya, who was welcomed to the Board by President Tommy Farrell, Vice President Dr. Kathy DeNiro, members Anthony Perko and Barb Clementi, and Superintendent Charlotte Macaluso.
