Pueblo D60 Gridiron Standouts Earn Post-Season Honors
The South High School Colts, who saw a run at the 3A state title falter in the semifinals, saw six standouts named to the All South-Central League first team.
The East High School Eagles also placed six players on the all-league team, with both Centennial and Central high schools seeing five players selected.
From South, Jace Bellah, George Longoria, Luke Guarienti, John Lopez, Jordan Estrada and Brian Mata earned first team honors. Additionally, five Colts -- Eddie Darnell, Mario Ramirez, Brock Montoya, Jackson Fair and Nick DeAngelo -- earned honorable mention status.
From East, Brenden Harding, Jaxson Herring, Buddy Almintakh, Steven Musso, Xavier Freeman and Jasiah Saiz were named to the first team, with Blake Nazario, Diego Duarte, Delvin Ada and Keenan King earning honorable mention status.
From Central, the first team selectees are Julian Montano, Clay Heffron, Josh Atencio, Santana Gonzalez Molina and Andrew Sherman. Earning honorable mention status are Jordan Atencio, Hunter Huffman, Matt Montez, Darien Gomez, Siaha Saenz and Ben Trujillo.
From Centennial, Josh Thatcher, Daniel Calkins, Tyler Sanchez, Marcus Abeyta and Ethan Gallegos earned first-team honors.
