CENTRAL DRUMLINE EARNS TOP 10 STATE FINISH

In the Scholastic Region A of the Rocky Mountain Percussion Association state competition, held Saturday at Denver's Auraria Campus, Central’s indoor drumline earned a Top 10 finish.

Under the direction of Adam Whybrew and Austin Pratt, the Wildcats performed “semi-colon:” an original show about suicide awareness and prevention. In the climactic moment, the performers answer the question: “Will my story end, or go on?”

“The students have always pushed on and shouted their message from the rooftops: 'my story will not end here,'” explained Mr. Pratt.

On Monday, the Wildcat drumline capped the state appearance by offering pre-state testing encouragement to the ThuderBolts of Columbian Elementary.
