Weekly Announcement for June 1st-3rd

Good evening Thunderbolt families.  Here we are, the last week of this unprecedented school year is here.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continuous support of Columbian Elementary School.

Here are a few important end of the year announcements:

In order to prevent Media charges, please make sure your child has returned any books to our Media Center.  There are many books still out, so please search your home, cars, and backpacks and return all books to Columbian.

This week we will collect all laptops and other electrical devices.  Chargers will be collected as well, so make sure your child returns both the device and charging cord to their teacher so you will not be charged.

We will have Field Day activities this week, however, they will be modified and parents will not be able to attend.  Students, however, will participate in traditional Field Day fun.

Kindergarten and 5th-grade continuation videos have now been posted to our school website.  I hope you enjoy them!  A special thank you to our music teacher, Molly Curro, Instructional Coach, Jill Doverspike, Tutor Laurie Thompson, and grade level teachers for their support in this process.

This summer your child can earn $100 from our Mayor and the city of Pueblo for participating in the Summer Reading program through the Pueblo County Library.  Don’t wait, sign your student up for the reading program so they can start earning cash today!

Finally, Columbian is accepting gently used school polos.  5th-grade students who turn in a shirt are exempt from the dress code.
