  • The Future is Bright, As a New Centennial High School is On the Way

    Now, the next chapter in Centennial High School’s tradition-rich history is being written as ground was broken for what, in a few short years, will become the fourth incarnation of Centennial: a sleek, state-of-the-art two-story school with auxiliary gymnasium, auditorium, air conditioning and a wealth of additional features designed to enhance the educational experience. Financed by 2019’s voter-approved $218 million bond, the new school will be constructed on an expansive playing field located northwest of the current building.

  • Middle School In-Person Students to Attend 4 Days A Week; High School In-Person Students to Continue on Hybrid Schedule

    With a relaxation of social distancing guidelines by state and national health officials, Pueblo School District 60 Middle School in-person students will transition from the hybrid model to attending 4 days a week in person beginning Monday, April 19.

  • 14 High-Achieving D60 Scholars Finalists for Hurliman Scholarship

    The Hurliman Scholarship Foundation is a charitable organization established to award 4-year college scholarships (up to $25,000 per year) to college-bound high school seniors in Pueblo, Custer and Fremont Counties. The highly competitive endowment covers tuition, and room and board, with a book allowance. It can be used at any university or college in the United States.

  • Unified Bowling to Make its Debut Thursday

    Unified Sports is dedicated to promoting social inclusion through shared training and competition experiences, joining people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. Unified Bowling is now a CHSAA sanctioned sport and for the first time, 3-member teams from South, East and Central are part of the rolling action.

  • Music Instrument Drive is Underway and Donations are Needed

    Every year, the Pueblo School District 60 administration building serves as a drop-off point for the Bringing Music to Life program, a non-profit venture that provides band and orchestra instruments to students in Title 1 Schools across the state. This year’s drive will run from March 8-21, during which time instruments can be dropped off at the administration building at 315 West 11th Street.

  • District Volunteers Donate Time to Second-Dose Vaccination Clinic

    The work that brought out the D60 team of volunteers was yet another crucial step in the return to fully in-person instruction: administration of the second, and final, dose of the Pfizer COVID vaccine. Recognizing the importance of the task at hand, the district representatives served in a variety of non-medical roles to ensure a seamless, and hope-filled, operation.
