In addition to preparing children for Kindergarten, and easing that adjustment, preschool can help children advance academically and develop social-emotional skills, such as sharing and being respectful, showing empathy, and dealing with emotions.

D60's Graduation Rates Continue to Improve, Bypass State Average
In 2020, and in spite of the unprecedented disruption caused by the pandemic, D60 saw 82.6% of its students graduate on time. Statewide, 81.9% of students earned a diploma within the four-year time frame: the highest mark in a decade.

With preschool through 8th grade resuming in-person instruction on January 18, all high school students enrolled in in-person instruction will return to our buildings on Monday, January 25.

School Choice Offers Parents More Control Over a Child’s Education
Although School Choice applications for the 2021-22 school year will be accepted from Monday, January 18 through the end of August, the “lottery period” lasts only from January 18 (starting at 8 a.m.) through February 15. It is this period that provides D60 parents with the best chance of winning a seat for their child or children in the school of choice.
