Located in the heart of Bessemer near Bessemer Academy, Tacos Fuego is a thriving eatery, providing a steady stream of patrons with the best in authentic Mexican cuisine.

In recognition of the community’s support of the eatery – through the pandemic and beyond – the owners spread some robust holiday cheer to five deserving Bessemer Academy families.

In addition to a $200 gift card purchased by the Terrones family, a live Christmas tree and a parcel of Pueblo Chile, both donated by Peppers and Petals on the Mesa, were presented to the grateful recipients.

Located in the building that once housed Mi Pueblito, Tacos Fuego carries on the tradition of the patriarch of the Terrones family, who ran Mi Pueblito for years and was very giving to the community.

“Serving mainly hand-crafted tacos and margaritas, along with other traditional entrees, we pride ourselves on using fresh ingredients and family recipes that have been handed down in our very own family kitchen tables: serving only the highest quality products to our guests,” Tony Terrones explained.

Bessemer Academy Principal Angela Garcia was overwhelmed at the expression of generosity.

“This will make the holiday much better and brighter for the families on the receiving end of this wonderful act,” Principal Garcia said.

The Terrones family was rewarded with a heartfelt “thank you” from the Bessemer Academy families who benefited from the act of kindness: a gesture that brought a warm Christmas smile to all present.
