It was a night of smooth jazz and fine food as the Pueblo Central High School Department of Music Midnight Blues Jazz Band entertained diners at Fuel & Iron Food Hall while raising funds for a new equipment trailer.

On trumpet for the Midnight Blues was junior Maverick Carpenter, who successfully auditioned for a spot (mellophone) on the Washington-based professional marching organization Columbians Drum and Bugle Corps. Most recently, The Columbians finished 5th at the Drum Corps International World Championship Open-Class Finals.

At Fuel and Iron, the Wildcats were joined by alumni members of Central's music program, under the direction of Austin Pratt.
