A career educator and longtime member of the Pueblo School District 60 Board of Education is the incoming president of the Colorado Association of School Boards Executive Committee.
As October is designated as Cybersecurity Awareness Month, the District hosted its first Cybersecurity Awareness Month Poster and Video Contest. Open to scholars at all grade levels, the competition was designed to promote the safe and secure use of the internet while encouraging students to make better decisions when posting pictures, videos, and personal information online.
In its seventh incarnation, Pride and Patriotism once again saw District scholars, from elementary through high school, express their gratitude to those who served – and in many instances continue to serve – in the written word, artistic expression and song.
Pueblo’s last living Medal of Honor recipient, and the face of Pueblo as the “Home of Heroes,” Mr. Dix will be the guest speaker at the District’s Pride and Patriotism tribute to veterans, which begins at 6 p.m. November 10 at Memorial Hall.
