We understand that the recent decision regarding Chavez Huerta K-12 Preparatory Academy may be incredibly difficult for your family, and we want you to know that Pueblo District 60 is here to support you with the 2025-2026 school enrollment process.  We are committed to making your school choice and registration experience as easy and stress-free as possible.

As you think about school registration for the 2025-2026 school year, here are some ways to learn about our D60 school offerings:

• Visit our schools: We warmly invite you to visit any of our schools to explore the diverse academic programs, extracurricular activities, and supportive communities we offer. Seeing the schools firsthand and speaking with principals and staff can help you make an informed decision that feels right for your child.
• Call us with your questions: We know you'll have many questions about the enrollment process, available programs, and school options. Please don't hesitate to call our Student Records and Registration department at 719-253-6014. Our team is ready to provide personalized guidance and answer any concerns you may have.
• Explore our website: The D60 website is a valuable resource with detailed information about all our schools, their unique offerings, and the enrollment procedures. You can find profiles of each school, academic highlights, and contact information to help you get started.
• Personalized support: We are working to ensure a smooth transition for all students and families. Our goal is to provide comprehensive support as you navigate your school choice selections, making this experience as seamless and supportive as possible despite the challenges.

School Choice Lottery results were sent to participating parents' portals and email addresses during the first week of March.  If you haven't seen your results, call the School Choice team at 719-253-6014 or email schoolchoice@pueblod60.org.

Any K-12 students who participate in the School Choice lottery but don't win a seat and students whose parents apply during the wait list window still have a good chance of being offered a seat at their preferred school before school starts.  

Student athletes who have already attended high school may lose their eligibility to compete in the coming year if they enroll in a different high school.  Please read this summary to learn more about this and call the District 60 Activities and Athletics office at (719) 423-3522 if you still have questions.

If you want to apply to have your four-year-old attend preschool at D60,
you must start by submitting a Colorado Universal Preschool application.
