The School Choice Wait List Window
for the 2026-27 school year is now open!
Tuesday, March 31, 12:00 a.m. - Monday, August 10, 11:59 p.m.
Start Your School Choice Application
The School Choice Lottery for the 2026-27 school year was completed on April 15.
Messages were sent to parents and guardians who provided their email addresses in their applications and others were contacted by phone. Parents who submitted a School Choice application during the "lottery window" (February 28 - March 30) but haven't learned about the results are encouraged to contact the School Choice team (719-253-6014) or send an email with specific information to schoolchoice@pueblod60.org to find out what happened with their child or children.
School Choice applications submitted after March 30 are being processed as quickly as possible and the children in the applications are being added to the wait lists of the schools selected for them. When and if school leaders determine that there is a seat available for another student in one of their grades, they will contact the parents of the next student on their wait list to offer that seat. This can happen any time between now and late August. The School Choice team learns about openings only after parents are called with offers, so parents will always be the first to know.
At Pueblo School District 60, students are energized by learning experiences that spark curiosity, build confidence, and open doors to the future. From their earliest school years through graduation, students are challenged, supported, and inspired to discover who they are and what they can achieve.
In D60, our students are present, powerful, and empowered by reading—developing the literacy skills that fuel lifelong learning and unlock limitless possibilities.
Each D60 school delivers exciting academic opportunities, hands-on learning, and enrichment beyond the classroom. With unique programs like STREAM, IB, and AVID, students gain real-world skills, strong academic foundations, and the tools they need for college, careers, and life.
In District 60, students don’t just learn—they explore, create, lead, and grow every day—becoming confident readers, critical thinkers, and empowered leaders ready for whatever comes next.

What is school choice?
For nearly 30 years, parents in Colorado have had the option to enroll their child in the public school of their choosing, if there is room for their child to enroll at a school they prefer.
