About Franklin School of Innovation
Established when the neighborhood of Belmont boomed in the 1950s, the Franklin School of Innovation, formerly known as Ben Franklin Elementary, has continually served our neighborhood’s families and students, both as an educational beacon and a gathering place for our neighbors and kids.
As times have changed over the years, Franklin continues to evolve to meet the needs of our community, students and families. As such, Franklin is an "Innovation School" and an "AVID school," two programs that help prepare our Franklin Bobcats for 21st-century challenges. As an Innovation School, Franklin offers a one-of-a-kind personalized learning experience that is rich with technology and fits the needs of each individual student. As an AVID school, Franklin instills college readiness from a young age, which prepares our students for middle school and beyond.
In the wild, a bobcat is tenacious, adaptable, and daring, yet always focused on the needs of their pack. Franklin Bobcats are instilled with those same traits, fostered by a cooperative effort between home, school, and community to prepare our students for success.
