South Colts CROSS-COUNTRY INFORMATION.

It is not too late to get involved with sports at South High School.

Cross Country is still accepting athletes! Cross-Country is a great way to get involved, meet new people, get in shape for winter and spring sports, and it is very easy to earn a varsity letter. You can also get a PE waiver for participating and it counts towards your required community service hours.

We are currently in season and practicing but it is not too late, we have several weeks to get you cleared to participate.

A former starting wide receiver for the South High Colts and 2001 graduate, Coach Goddard has worked his way up from player seeking a starting spot to Colorado Coach of the Year. When longtime Coach Mark Herring’s career at South came to an end in 2010, Coach Goddard was given the opportunity to lead the next generation of Colts on the football field. Over the years, Coach Goddard has instituted an offensive scheme that challenges the most experienced scoreboard operator’s abilities to maintain an accurate score and the defensive grit keeping opponents frustrated and out of the end zone.

Coach Goddard’s style of coaching is appreciated by players and his attention to developing life skills along with football skills, puts his players in the right position to succeed on and off the field. As Colorado Coach of the Year, South High is proud to have such a smart, innovative, and respected coach lead their football program for many years to come.
