    What does it take to "Run with the Colts" at South High School? Each and every day, students, faculty and families live up to the school motto by giving "Something Extra for South." 

    It's that "something extra" that has made South High School a beacon for high achievement since its founding in 1959. 

    Whether it's achieving success on the fields of play, measured in South's 24 state championships (and counting), or through exemplary academics, exhibited each day through South's rapidly-expanding advanced placement (AP) and career and technical education (CTE) programs, South students consistently give extra in order to be great.
