Principal’s Message

Students, Parents, & Community: 

It is a true honor and privilege to be serving as East High School’s Principal.  As a graduate of this fine school, I believe whole-heartedly that the experience students have inside these walls and outside on our fields and courts is second to none.  As an accredited International Baccalaureate School for over twenty years and a highly certified AVID site, East High School is rich in academic tradition and excellence. As principal, I look forward to continuing my work with the students and parents who make up this great community.

The irreplaceable experience of high school is bustling all around our building.  The IB Middle Years and Diploma Programmes teach students to be community minded, self-motivated, critical thinkers who can compete with students across the globe, no matter their post-secondary interests.

Although academics are the cornerstone of East High School, our athletic and activities programs enhance and reinforce the educational experiences of our students.  Our club sponsors and coaches are second to none in the city and help our students develop core values such as teamwork, self-motivation and leadership.  These are skills that will last a lifetime.

East High School's stellar staff is eager to utilize their extensive training in AVID strategies to best deliver the rigorous and globally-minded IB coursework that our students and families have come to expect.  We take immense pride in preparing our graduates for success, whether that be in the workforce or forging a readiness for their collegiate aspirations.  Above all, the people that work at East High School genuinely care about the prosperity of our young community and the development of impactful citizens.  We truly love what we do.
