Principal's Message

    Hello Wildcats and Wildcat Families:

Welcome to the 2023-2024 School Year! I hope your summer break was filled with fun and exciting memories. I am thrilled to welcome you to a new school year of dreaming, achieving and aiming for excellence.

Personally, I am grateful to continue this journey with you as Central High School’s Principal. I have had a chance to meet many of you, and I look forward to continuing to build strong relationships with you in the upcoming year. As we enter this new school year, I want to let you know that our staff will be engaging in conversations around having a growth mindset, both for themselves and all students. We believe every person in this building should always be growing and learning. Despite obstacles that may arise, we must always believe in our ability to rise above challenges and come out stronger on the other end.

I want to personally invite you to attend our BACK-TO-SCHOOL NIGHT from 5:30-7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 6TH. This will be a great time to strengthen our Wildcat community, meet teachers and other families, and learn about the upcoming school year. We will begin the evening in the auditorium, for a brief introduction. Our goal is to see 100% of our families for this event. I hope to see you then.

Please access our website for updated information about school events.  We also have a Facebook page that stays updated with school information. It is important that we have your updated information as well, so please make sure we get your student’s first day packets returned with correct addresses and phone numbers. Those packets will be given out on the first day of school.

It is truly a privilege to be part of a community where parents, teachers, and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic growth and social growth. Please feel free to contact me at 719-549-7330 with any questions or concerns.

At Central High School…Dream, Achieve and Aim for Excellence,

    and as always,

BE A CAT (Character, Accountability and Total Respect)!

    Sincerely,

    Mrs. Mehess
