Counseling

I am enjoying my dream job working as a School Counselor at Sunset Park Elementary school here in Pueblo, my home town.  Before coming to Sunset Park, I worked as a school counselor for 17 years at a middle school in Aurora.  Before that I worked as a Counselor/Therapist/Coordinator in Community Mental Health in the Denver area for 15 years with kids from the age 5 to 20 years of age.  I have a B.A. in Communication from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a MAED from the University of Phoenix.

 

I will be doing lessons in your child's classes every other week from a program called Second Step.  It is a nationwide anti-bullying program that District 60 uses in its elementary schools.  This will allow me to also get to know your students throughout the year.
