Principal’s Message

Dear South Park Elementary Families,
My name is Morganlee Kempf, and I am your South Park Elementary Principal. With great honor and excitement, I write this letter of introduction as we turn the corner to a new and bright 2023-24 school year. I am thrilled to have been selected to serve a school known for its strong community, academic success, and dedication to the whole child! Over the past 14 years, I have had the opportunity to serve Pueblo District 60 and the Pueblo community as a teacher, instructional leader, content specialist, and assistant principal. I am eager to bring the knowledge and skills I have gained along the way to add to the already stellar reputation of South Park, and I am anxious to learn more about every child’s social and academic interests.
One of my priorities is to build strong relationships with the staff, students, families, and community partners and focus on our Cougars' social and emotional well-being. It is extremely important to me that each South Park Cougar feels safe, welcome, and excited to be at school.
We have experienced the past few years like never before, and these experiences have shaped and molded us all in different ways. Although there is a great deal of work ahead to transition our schools and community back to normalcy, I am beyond confident that the dedicated staff here at South Park will make it possible!
Our work has already begun for next year, and as a team, we will continue to focus on data-driven instruction that provides rigorous and authentic academic experiences that support the whole child. We are prepared to make for a strong bounce back! I couldn’t be more delighted to be a part of this team!
