    Those are just four of the words that describe Bessemer Academy, serving as the center of Pueblo's Bessemer community for decades, with roots going back a remarkable 135 years. During the 19th-century steel boom in Pueblo, Bessemer helped prepare kids for a rapidly changing world, and today, Bessemer Academy is doing the same, preparing students for a 21st-century education.

    Bessemer Academy is a STEM Magnet School, utilizing the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) "Launch" curriculum to teach our youngest students valuable skills such as critical thinking, inquiry, problem solving, creativity, innovation, and collaborative teamwork.

    Generations of students have called Bessemer Academy home, and that tradition continues not only today, but into the future.
