COVID-19 Information


  • According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, “COVID-19 is mostly spread by respiratory droplets released when people talk, cough, or sneeze. It is thought that the virus may spread to hands from a contaminated surface and then to the nose or mouth, causing infection.”  Therefore, in order to lower COVID-19 exposure and spread, the following specific health and safety expectations, practices, and procedures will be put in place in all D60 schools.

    VOLUNTARY COVID-19 TESTING IN SCHOOLS

    D60 is excited to announce that we have enrolled in the state health department's free and voluntary in-school COVID testing program. This is a critical step in the ongoing process of keeping our students and teachers healthy and continuing in-person learning.

    The testing program, overseen by a state contractor, is available to all students and staff, regardless of vaccination status or presence of symptoms.

    All students under 18 must obtain parental/guardian consent to participate. If your child is not registered with a consent on file, he or she will not be allowed to test. Please note, that all participating students may miss instruction time during the testing period.
