Credit Conversion

Pueblo District 60 has partnered with CSU-Pueblo to provide the opportunity to convert certain professional development contact hours into college credit. Most professionals utilize this service to supplement graduate credits earned to contribute to movement on the teacher pay scale.

Criteria for Conversion:

1. Your Frontline PLM transcript will show you which courses have CSU-P Eligible Contact Hours and which are standard Contact hours.

• 15 CSU-P Eligible Contact Hours = 1 CSU-P Credit
• 30 CSU-P Eligible Contact Hours = 2 CSU-P Credits 
• 45 CSU-P Eligible Contact Hours = 3 CSU-P Credits 

2. CSU-P allows Pueblo District 60 to utilize specified contact hours from ONE YEAR back to convert into credits. The upcoming date ranges that we are using to convert CSU-P Eligible Contact hours are:

*We convert 3 times a year: July, December, and April. If you have the required hours, you will receive an email in the weeks before conversion and given instructions to complete the process online. 

3. The following classes have been approved for CSU-P Credit Conversion: District/Building Led Professional Development Days, Professional Development Series Opportunities, NIMS, Mandatory Reporting, and Summer Institute courses. As an instructor, if you believe that your course should be CSU-P Eligible, please contact Kelly Warren to make arrangements PRIOR to the start of the Course.   Only courses provided within D60 can be approved for the credit conversion process.

FAQs

• After conversion, you are required to turn an Official Transcript from CSU-Pueblo into HR to have the credits earned added to your record

• 10 graduate credits are required by HR to move horizontally on the pay scale. PD does not have access to where you are on the scale or how many credits you have, please contact HR at 719-549-7209

• Credits on an official college transcript are to be turned in directly to HR

• CSU-P credit is only available through pre-approved professional development opportunities provided within our district.
