TEACHER SALARIES

According to our Negotiated Agreement, teachers new to our District may be granted up to 5 years of previous experience if the experience obtained happened within the last 10 years.  For more information please see article 19-2 in the PEA negotiated agreement.
 
 

Salary Schedules

In order to move vertically on the salary schedule when the Board approves such movement, a full-time teacher must work for at least 100 school days in the previous school year.  To move horizontally, an employee must earn graduate-level college credit, earned within the last 10 years, verified by an official transcript.  Details regarding horizontal movement can be found in Article 19-3 of the negotiated agreement.

Teacher Benefits

Excused Leave

Teachers receive up to 12 days of excused leave each contract year. Excused Leave can be used for a variety of reasons.  See Article 9 of the Negotiated Agreement for details.

Health Insurance

Health Insurance is available to all full-time employees and their families.  The District contributes up to $600 per month for all eligible employees.

Life Insurance

The District provides group life insurance coverage for all benefited employees. Benefit is calculated at 2 times an employee's annual earnings  

Supplementary Products

Pueblo School District 60 offers a variety of supplemental products to full time employees including voluntary life, supplemental health, 401(k) and 403(b) programs, Flex Spending Accounts, etc.
