Children (2026–2027 School Year)

Please follow the steps below if your child will be 3 years old on or before October 1, 2026.

Step 1: Complete District 60 Preschool Online Enrollment Form

Complete the 2026–2027 District 60 Preschool Online Enrollment Form.

Please have these documents ready to upload when completing the registration.

Required documents:

• Child’s birth certificate
• Immunization records
• Proof of address (mortgage statement, lease agreement, or major utility bill)
• Parent/guardian photo ID

Please note that failure to upload all required documents will make your enrollment incomplete. Incomplete enrollments cannot be processed until all required documents have been submitted.

Universal Preschool (UPK) Requirement for 3-Year-Olds

• Children who are 3 years old on or before October 1, 2026, and do NOT have an active IEP
  • Do NOT need to complete a Universal Preschool application for the 2026–2027 school year. Please continue to Step 2.
• Children who are 3 years old on or before October 1, 2026, and DO have an active IEP
  • Must complete a Universal Preschool application and indicate that the child has an IEP.

Step 2: Wait for Placement

To be considered for placement in the 3-year-old preschool program, your child must qualify under at least one of the following criteria:

• The child is identified as homeless or unhoused.
• The child is multilingual, meaning they are learning two or more languages at the same time or are learning a second language while continuing to develop their first language.
• The child is eligible for special education services and has an Individualized Education Program (IEP) issued by a school district.
• The child is considered low income, defined as a household income below 270% of the federal poverty guidelines.
• The child is currently in foster care or non-certified kinship care.

If you meet at least one of the qualifying factors listed above, we will work to place your child based on the school selections made during the online enrollment you complete and available openings.

If your child does not qualify for the program, you will receive an email notification. If your child qualifies, you will receive an email with placement information, including the assigned school site and class schedule.

If your selected school sites are full, we will contact you to discuss other available preschool openings within the district.

Preschool Program for 3-Year-Olds
3-year-old students may ONLY attend our Part-Time Preschool Programs:

Part-Time Preschool (AM)

• 10 hours per week
• 4 days per week: Monday-Thursday
• 8:00 AM -10:30 AM
• AM Sites include: Belmont, Bradford, Goodnight, Haaff, and Irving

 

Part-Time Preschool (PM)

• 10 hours per week
• 4 days per week: Monday-Thursday
• 12:45 PM - 3:15 PM
• PM Sites Include: Baca, Bradford, Minnequa, Morton, and South Park
