Preschool in District 60

Pueblo School District 60 preschool spots are limited, the early childhood program is application-only, and children must meet the eligibility requirements outlined by the State of Colorado.
Toilet Training and Diapering
Students entering preschool should be able to use the restroom independently. Staff will provide guidance and support to help children continue developing these skills and will support toilet training as developmentally appropriate
There are different instructions for 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds; please read them thoroughly. Preschool is an application-only process; the application must be complete, and the child must be accepted into the program before enrollment can be completed with the district.
→3-year-olds without an IEP (child will be 3 years old on or by October 1st):
- Children must be three years of age on or by October 1 of the school year in which they are applying.
- Families must meet at least one qualifying factor based on state qualifiers to be eligible.
- Apply with Pueblo District 60's Early Childhood Department Online. The application must be completed in its entirety, or it will not be processed until we have received all documents and information.
2026-2027 School Year 3-Year-Old Families Apply Here (Child will be 3 years old on or by 10/1/2026)

Students who meet eligibility requirements and are placed will receive an acceptance email from the Early Childhood Department with information on the preschool start date, supplies, and an attached student physical form.
→4-year-olds (4 years old on or by October 1st) and 3-year-olds with an active Individual Education Plan (IEP) issued by a school district:
- Children who are 4 years of age on or by October 1 of the school year in which they are applying.
- Children with an active Individualized Education Plan issued by a school district and who are 4 years old or 3 years old on or by October 1st of the current school year
- *If your child will be 3 years old on or by October 1, without an IEP, DO NOT COMPLETE A UNIVERSAL PRESCHOOL APPLICATION (it will tell you that you don't qualify).
- Apply with Universal Preschool Colorado (UPK)

UPK will email or text families to review and accept your preschool match

Families then accept the match that UPK provides

Pueblo District 60's Early Childhood Department will email families confirming school placement and a link to complete District 60's Online Registration/Enrollment

Families must complete the Online Registration/Enrollment process within 2 weeks of acceptance or placement, or their spot is forfeited.
2025-2026 PreSCHOOL ENROLLMENT FORM
The enrollment process is separate from and in addition to the preschool application. Please complete enrollment only after you have received your offer/placement email from ece@pueblod60.org. Skipping the application process may prevent your child’s preschool enrollment from being completed.
2026-2027 PRESCHOOL ENROLLMENT FORM
All Preschoolers:
- A Student Physical Form that includes all known drug allergies, special diet, medications, and health conditions for your child must be completed, signed, and dated by your child’s healthcare provider and dated within the last 12 months.
- The completed Student Physical Form must be provided to your child’s preschool teacher at the scheduled orientation or be on file within 30 days of the student’s start date.
