Shyenne Ayala, Pueblo South High School, will attend Regis University on a Presidential Merit Scholarship. She will study Criminal Justice with a goal of becoming a youth probation officer.

For her efforts in bettering not only the district but the Pueblo community as a whole, Superintendent Dr. Barbara Kimzey was honored by the YMCA of Pueblo with the 2025 Changemaker Award.
