Clean Water in Schools
In June, Governor Jared Polis signed the Clean Water in Schools and Child Care Centers law, which requires all public schools to sample their drinking water for lead and take mitigative action when results show levels of lead at or above 4.5 parts per billion.

HIGH ACHIEVING BRADFORD EAGLET IS THUNDERWOLVES KICKOFF KID
Adriel Granillo, an eight-year-old third grader, is a hard-working and well behaved Bradford Elementary Eaglet whose favorite subjects are math, reading and physical education. An English Language Arts teacher praised Adriel as being the first student to not only begin an assignment but to finish it, and noted that he always exceeds expectations.

Elementary school principals gathered for a professoinal development session centered around the benefits of a structured literacy and math block.

BRADFORD EDUCATOR TWICE HONORED
A veteran District educator has been recognized by the Mel Harmon Chapter of the Air and Space Forces Association as its Teacher of the Year. Jennifer Hyslop, who teaches at Bradford Elementary, received the award for her efforts in steering students toward greatness in STEM fields and preparing them for future aerospace technological challenges.

The Eaglets taking part in summer enrichment activities enjoyed learning about different cultures from around the world, including Brazil, China, Egypt, and France.
