For the seventh year, Pueblo of Academy of Arts Phoenix in Kris Cid’s Life Skills class got an early jump on the Thanksgiving holiday by preparing a multi-course meal for their families and PAA staff.
As October is designated as Cybersecurity Awareness Month, the District hosted its first Cybersecurity Awareness Month Poster and Video Contest. Open to scholars at all grade levels, the competition was designed to promote the safe and secure use of the internet while encouraging students to make better decisions when posting pictures, videos, and personal information online.
In an annual tradition, the Optimist Club of Pueblo honors middle school teenagers who have overcome challenges and adversity to turn their lives around "180 degrees" in behavior and school endeavors. This year, Pueblo of Academy of Arts Phoenix Aubrey Thiele and Jeremiah Barela received the "Teen 180" award.
In its seventh incarnation, Pride and Patriotism once again saw District scholars, from elementary through high school, express their gratitude to those who served – and in many instances continue to serve – in the written word, artistic expression and song.
