2023 Cybersecurity Awareness Month


  • D60 was pleased to host our second-annual Cybersecurity Awareness Month Poster & Video Contest during the month of October. This districtwide contest promoted safe and secure use of the internet and encouraged students to make better decisions when posting pictures, videos, and personal information online.  K-12 students submitted artwork covering topics ranging from online safety and good online security practices to cyberbullying and how to be a good digital citizen.  For more information visit:  🌐Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA)

    Education Week

    Pueblo D60 is beyond excited to partner with Google and CSU-Pueblo to host "Experience Computer Science 2023", an event for our high school students:

    • Monday, December 4 from 10:00 AM- 2:20 PM in the 0cchiato Student Center Ballroom. This event is  sponsored through the D60 CTE program and coincides with Hour of Code/CSEd Week, a worldwide  celebration designed to increase awareness and participation in computer science activities.

    Christian Michael, a training lead with Google and South HS alumnus, will be coordinating a team of  volunteers from Google to offer a panel discussion about the life of a software engineer/CS student and two breakout sessions focused with hands-on cybersecurity and data analytics labs. Dr. Roberto Mejiasand Dr. Margaret Massey from CSU-P will showcase their CIS and cybersecurity program offerings.
