D60 High Schools Return to In-Person Learning

  • Pueblo School District 60 is excited to begin in-person classes for our High School students on Wednesday, October 21, for students who chose the in-person hybrid model. Starting Wednesday, October 21, all high schools will begin to follow Stage 2 guidelines: 

    Stage 2

    • ALL students begin to follow their Monday-Wednesday or Tuesday-Thursday hybrid schedule
    • In-person students return to the classroom two days a week and learn online two days a week
    • Fully online students will learn two days a week online synchronously and two days a week asynchronously


    In order for our schools to open safely, please remember to wear a mask and follow social distance guidelines to minimize the risk of exposure.  Students should arrive and begin to enter the school at their assigned door at approximately 7:10 a.m. in order to provide enough time for temperature taking entry routines.

2020-21 Return to School Plan

  • Pueblo School District 60 logo Pueblo School District 60, under the direction of the D60 Board of Education, has announced its Return to School Plan for the 2020-21 school year (Plan in Spanish). The D60 Return to School Plan consists of a mixture of in-person instruction, hybrid instruction, and a 100% virtual learning option. The Plan follows all appropriate health and safety guidelines recommended by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE), Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), and local health partners at the Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment (PDPHE).



    • The first day of school for K-12 students will be Monday, Aug. 31.

    • K-5 students: Full in-person learning four days a week, with health and safety measures in place, OR 100% on-line learning. 

    • 6-12 students: Hybrid model with two days in-person learning, and two days of distance learning each week, OR 100% online learning. 

    • Pre-K students will attend in-person four days a week (½ day or full-day program).  First day of school for preschool students will be Tuesday, September 8.

    • All K-12 students will be issued a technology device. K-1 students will receive an iPad, grades 2-12 will receive a Chromebook. In-class instruction as well as distance learning will incorporate students’ technology devices.
