Literacy and Math Coaching

Helping children achieve the ability to read and write successfully is our literacy goal. Students begin with word-level skills including letter/sound relationships and phonics. As each child’s success with these skills reaches proficiency, we move on to higher-level literacy skills with a focus on comprehension.

We are fortunate to have a branch library nearby. Check out some books.

Encourage your child to read them to you. 15 minutes daily will help them increase their reading skills a great deal. You will both enjoy time together and if they miss a word just tell them what it says.

 What we want is to see the child in pursuit of knowledge, and not knowledge in pursuit of the child.
