    ROTARIANS AGAIN DELIVER ON DICTIONARY PROMISE

    For nearly two decades, members of Pueblo Rotary #43 have contributed to the educational process by purchasing and delivering full color hard-bound Scholastic Children’s Dictionaries to every third grader in Pueblo County.

    DISTRICT SCHOLARS PARTICIPATE IN READ ACROSS AMERICA DAY

    Throughout the District this week, dignitaries including Mayor Nick Gradisar, firefighters and police officers, business owners, collegiate athletes and coaches, high school student leaders, Pueblo Bulls, and other community notables took a moment out of their busy schedules to read a book with our scholars while stressing the importance of literacy and the joy that comes with reading.

    UNIVERSAL PRESCHOOL OPENS DOORS FOR MORE FAMILIES

    Beginning in the 2023-24 school year, the state-funded Universal Preschool Colorado program offers every 4-year-old child the opportunity to attend a half-day (up to 15 hours) of preschool. In the year before they are eligible for kindergarten, children with certain qualifying factors are eligible for an additional 15 hours on top of the half-day programming, making for a full day of preschool.

    PUEBLO NAACP BRANCH 4005 DONATES $1,000 TO SCHOOLS

    For the fifth year, members of the Pueblo NAACP Branch 4005 remembered the scholars and staff of Beulah Heights, Park View, Columbian and Bradford elementary schools with a $250 donation to be used as needed.
