    For qualifying youngsters ages 8 through 10, it’s a chance to experience and explore the art of dance with a professional staff at no charge.

    Faced with such dilemmas as protecting a hard-working park ranger in the face of an avalanche and trapping a poisonous toad before it can decimate the animal kingdom, summer school scholars from Park View, Bradford and Baca put their engineering hats on and rose to the occasion.

    TOP ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ARTISTS RECOGNIZED

    The call for submissions for the 2023 Elementary Art Show drew an impressive 175 entries, with 11 earning Best of Show designation. Nearly 200 patrons attended the opening reception at the Rawlings Library. The "king" of this year's show, "King Kobra" by Elijah Vigil-Camacho of Beulah Heights, earned the Superintendent's Award.

    IT'S RAINING BOOKS AT BRADFORD!

    This month, the Scripps Howard Fund celebrated the giveaway of the One Millionth Book through its “If You Give a Child a Book…” campaign. To celebrate this milestone, first through fifth graders at Bradford Elementary, along with their teachers, received a free copy of the highly awaited and recently released “Dog Man: Twenty Thousand Fleas Under the Sea,” by Dav Pilkey.
