Student Resource Officers (SROs)

Pueblo School District 60 partners with the Pueblo Police Department to provide School Resource Officers (SROs) at many District 60 schools.
The Pueblo Police Department School Resource Officer (SRO) section with an officer assigned to each of the four high schools and six middle schools. The SRO Unit works in conjunction with District 60 personnel to continue refining a Safety Crisis Plan and is active and visible in schools as they operate as a resource to both staff and students.
The officers are responsible for:
- Crime prevention efforts within the schools and the neighborhoods they serve.
Law enforcement functions within each of their assigned schools.
Traffic enforcement and motor vehicle accidents.
Additionally, the SRO unit is also responsible on-going crime prevention efforts within the schools and the neighborhoods they serve, law enforcement functions within each of their assigned schools, and for the operation of the Pueblo Police Explorer Program.
