    THREE THIRD-GRADE SCHOLARS EARN THE HONOR OF BEING FIRE CHIEF FOR A DAY

    Aavion Acres (Goodnight Elementary), Halee Flores (Nettie S. Freed Expeditionary) and Brooklyn Finn (Morton Elementary) were notified that they had earned this chiefly honor by the Pueblo firefighters who arrived at their school in a company work vehicle.

    What is your goal as a teacher? “To provide students with a safe, nurturing space to succeed and struggle productively in their academic endeavors. My hope is that I can also be a model of what it means to be a good human and show students it's okay to not be perfect, to have bad days, and to grow from and embrace our mistakes.
